Weight: A-
For a performance SUP the weight is good but not great. A year or two ago this would have been an A but I have picked up a few newer boards with newer technology which would deserve an A+. Do not get me wrong the wight will not encumber you it just isn't surprisingly light. It feels about what you would expect.
Flat Water: B
This is a performance wave machine meaning you will not win any races. Stabilty and glide speed are compromised for wave performance. You will not be unhappy with it but there are more stable and cheaper boards for the recreational lake paddler.
Surf: A
This is what this board is made for. It catches waves early, has enough nose rocker to keep you above water, and really shines in waist to overhead surf. There are not a lot of SUP's you want to be on in 7' faces but this is one of them. The only common reveiw I hear is its a bit slow rail to rail for smaller mushier days. You will loose some speed when turning. Great board to be on when the November sets roll in.
Overall: A-
Great board with so much going for it, especially in head high surf. A solid shape, great fin placement and enjoyable responsivity. This is a near head of the pack SUP surf stick that will also allow the weekend warrior a few fun beer runs across the lake. ENJOY!!
